We’ve been rated ‘good’ overall by the CQC, with some outstanding services.  The CQC commented at our most recent inspection on how our colleagues “treated patients with compassion and kindness” and “felt positive and proud about working for the trust.

We are passionate about making equality, diversity and inclusion part of our DNA. We take pride in our “People First Culture” which creates a workplace where everyone feels a genuine sense of belonging, difference is celebrated, and people are comfortable to bring their whole selves to work. Our Chief Executive, Ifti Majid, is a national advocate for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. We value the richness that comes from having colleagues that are fully representative of the local community. We welcome people who identify as Black, Asian or from a Minority Ethnic background, protected characteristics, and with all backgrounds and experiences.

We are committed to ensuring that all Trust colleagues can work safely during the current Coronavirus crisis.  As part of this, the Trust is reviewing job roles in relation to COVID-19 national guidance, in terms of home working, flexibility and safe practice, to ensure positive working environments for staff and the best quality services for patients.  Please note that this post may be subject to adjustments in line with COVID-19 national guidance.

Employment opportunities

We have opened up many of our roles to qualified social workers. If you visit our webpage and look under the “Work for Us” tab, you will see our current vacancies. We have a low vacancy rate as compared to many other similar employers. Most of the suitable jobs will be under the “Allied Health Professional” category, although it’s always worth looking around as some marked “nursing” may also be open to social workers. We are looking for experienced social workers as a matter of course, in all our fields. We are also looking at how we support newly qualified social workers so do look out for those opportunities and get in touch if you are interested. We offer roles in all our divisions. These include Adult Mental Health, Neurodevelopmental and Autistic Services, Child and Adolescent services, Older Adults services, and Forensic services. There are more!  We have good links with the our partners in Local Authorities, and with our community partners in the voluntary, community, and social enterprise sectors. So there will be something for everyone.  Please get in contact if you are interesting in finding out more.
