with the COMPASS Jobs Fair, London

There has been high praise for the COMPASS Jobs Fair, London from the organisations that attended the event on Monday.

With 2469 registered visitors, exhibitors were able to discuss vacancies, services, and the latest developments in social work and social care with more people than ever before at the COMPASS Jobs Fair.

Following the conclusion of another successful event, exhibitors were quick to reveal their satisfaction with how the day had gone.

The Seafarer Support team put up a post on the Merchant Navy Welfare Board blog to share their “delight” at attending the COMPASS Jobs Fair, London. They said:

“A lot of people who attended the event said they’d never heard of us, despite our years of existence, so it was great to bring Seafarer Support to their attention. We will just be happy if at least one seafarer can be helped through us being here and raising awareness today.”

Here are just a few other examples of the feedback from our exhibitors:

We had lots of visitors and lots of interest. It was really helpful being able to talk face-to-face with people and really explain the nature of the job and the place! The venue was great, and the event was well organised. The staff from COMPASS were all really helpful and friendly.

Senior Social Worker – Falkland Island Government

The event was very well attended today. We had some good conversations with people interested in re-locating to Devon who we really enjoyed meeting. The visitors were all a pleasure to meet, with plenty of energy and enthusiasm. It was also great to have the chance to network with other authorities. As ever it was a very well organised event where we feel very well looked after by the lovely COMPASS team.

Recruitment Lead ASC – Devon County Council

There were some great opportunities for networking with the other organisations that were exhibiting. There was plenty of interest from practitioners in working for the Government of Jersey. The different types of seminars were informative and useful for both the visitors and the exhibitors. It was a really informative and useful day, which will hopefully result in more practitioners coming to Jersey permanently.

Senior Practitioner – Government of Jersey

The event was very busy. The candidates were of a good standard and we have had a good amount of interest and some positive follow-ups. The organisation of the event was great and all the COMPASS Team were incredibly helpful. We were, as always, given a warm welcome. Their team were helpful sorting out some teething issues in the morning and it was great that they were so approachable. The exhibition was well-situated and in a nice room – it really feels worth the money.

Assistant Marketing and Communications Manager – Five Rivers Child Care
