It's an exciting time to be a social worker in Surrey. We are creating an environment where talent is nurtured and people are supported to be the best they can be. We want to recruit social workers who can make a difference to children and their families by contributing to the transformation of our services.

Children are at the centre of everything we do, and we are looking for social workers and social work managers who can help us make a real difference to their lives.

Children's services in Surrey County Council have undergone a transformation in recent years, with Ofsted's most recent monitoring report finding them to have improved substantially.

We've taken huge strides toward delivering outstanding children's services, and we want professionals who are as passionate as we are to join us on this journey.

A Foreword from the Executive Director

‘Changing our culture and practice will be the driving force of the improvement journey. Putting children, young people and their families at the heart of all we do. I am committed to introducing the Family Safeguarding model as well as ensuring key conditions of success are in place. One of these conditions is be that social workers will have manageable caseloads.’

David Hill, Executive Director of Children’s Services
