“I loved the social pedagogy module. It is taught in a more interactive and inclusive environment rather than in the normal class based setting. This approach has really helped me to learn about theory and practice. For me pedagogy relates to non-hierarchical relationships. Social pedagogy uses a humanistic value base where mutual respect thrives amongst students, and the use of problem solving, creative and practical activities and tasks leads to the formation of bonds and trust between us.

There is something beneficial for every type of learner. Mixing theory and practical activities gives everyone the opportunity to excel at something; and in my experience gave me the chance to step back, reflect and engage in a new way of learning.”
