20th Edition

Here at COMPASS, we are celebrating the publication of the 20th edition of COMPASS, the annual guide to social work and social care  which informs readers about jobs with proactive employers and changes within the sector over the coming year.

In this edition, you will find local authority social services for children and adults focusing on their role as a good employer to social workers. Employer profiles in the 2020 edition include:

Birmingham Children’s Trust
Coventry City Council
Darlington Borough Council
Durham County Council
Kent County Council Children’s Services
Kent County Council Adult Social Care
Powys County Council
Surrey County Council

The publication is also here to remind social workers why they began their practice in the first place with positive social work stories. It has been truly fascinating building this publication together, not only because it is in its 20th year, but the passion shown by the professionals in each article prove that the sector is filled with compassion, empathy and understanding.

If you are a BASW member you will receive your copy of COMPASS with the March edition of PSW. You can also pick up your free copy by attending the COMPASS events, including:

The COMPASS Jobs Fair, Birmingham – 16 March
