Location: Sunfield School and Children’s Home

Salary: Grade 13: £39,707 - £42,797 (Dependent on qualifications and experience)

40 Hours per week/ 52 Weeks per year

Sunfield School and Children’s Home, part of the Ruskin Mill Trust Group is a thriving independent special school and children’s home, set within 58 acres of idyllic parkland and nestled on the slopes of the Clent Hills.

Sunfield provides innovative and experiential education, developed out of the inspiration of Rudolf Steiner, William Morris and John Ruskin and supports young people (6 – 19 years) with complex learning needs, including autism and PDA. On-site resources include a state-of-the-art sensory integration suite and family accommodation, along with resident carers, teachers, psychologists, therapists and healthcare professionals.

We are now looking to appoint a Psychologist with experience of working with and applying a therapeutic approach to children and young people with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum conditions in order to facilitate their development.

The successful candidate will contribute to the strategic development and integration of therapies into the learning community which will include facilitating the resilience training and professional development of staff supporting the young people whose behaviour can be challenging and hard to understand.

Prospective candidates must hold appropriate professional qualifications as a Psychologist and be registered with the Health Professions Council.

This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, full working year. Although applications for job share/ flexible working will be considered.
