“I feel that having a good work/home life balance is very important and Northumberland County Council ensures it is prioritized. The ability to work flexibly and have access to technology to work from any base, really provides you with the opportunity to do this. Northumberland is one of the most beautiful counties within the country and working here gives you many opportunities to see our beautiful coastlines, rural towns in addition to working with such diverse and varied communities. The training that is provided is excellent for both newly qualified Social Workers and more experienced workers. Having come to the County as a newly qualified Social Worker to now supporting newly qualified Social Workers through their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment, I can honestly say that not only is it incredibly supportive but you really do get the confidence, peer support and development opportunities you need to progress.”
