Who we are?
Cheshire West and Chester is a council which is setting the pace and creating a blueprint for a whole new kind of local authority. As a council we have quickly established a reputation for doing things differently and breaking the mould. Selected in 2012 as one of Government’s four national pilots for community budgets, this authority is making everyone sit up and take notice as we are at the forefront of public service reform. Cheshire West and Chester is in a semi-rural setting with market villages and towns rooted deep in industrial heritage with the historic City of Chester as the main hub of the council.
