Really well organised, great candidate flow, friendly and helpful staff, we would definitely attend next year. Lee-anne Seddon, Training & Resource Manager, Carestaff Solutions

A mix of interested people, newly qualified social workers, care and project workers. Some experienced workers interested in seminars and relocating to Wales. It has been a great opportunity to put Wrexham on the map and speak to people about the area. Great Compass staff both for exhibitors and social worker visitors.
Sue Forster, Team Manager, Wrexham Social Services

Good organisation Good promotional material Ideal location, easy access/well attended Good range of exhibitors Professional layout Good lunch and refreshment service Compass staff very helpful/supportive Difficult to hear speakers during seminar Timing of exhibition ideal Lesley Barry & Jenny Pritchard, HR Managers, St Helens Council

One of the best social care/social work jobs fairs and careers conventions I have been too in a long while. A great high spirited feeling from all involved exhibitors that didn’t diminish at any point of the day. Great quality of delegates and a fantastic response from all members of the public. We are taking away a substantial amount of potential employee date from those that have shown a genuine interest to work for our organisation. Thank you.
Gavin Dean, Workforce Development Officer, Manchester City Council Children’s Services – Workforce planning & development

Very impressed with the standards of social care staff who attended the conference. The Compass team were very well organised. We will definitely be featuring again at the next event.

Well organised event. Good variety of exhibitors. Well publicised event. Excellent lunch! Storage of materials – limited space. Unloading – few trolley’s available and steps up to hall level. Adele Boyle, HR Business Partner, Rochdale MBC

Yes generally very well organised, lots of different people especially young people. Seemed to have targeted the right people. Venue a bit cramped, seminar rooms a bit small and noisy and it was difficult to hear speakers because of background noise. Staff very polite, efficient and helpful. Food really nice. Could have done with a slightly larger table to display materials. Liz Anstee, Workforce Planning & Development Manager, Manchester City Council, Adult Social Care
|
Extremely well organised. Great visitor numbers. Good venue. Can the cost of exhibiting be confirmed yet? Liz Osborne was very hospitable and well organised.
Alison Broadbent, HR Advisor, Oldham Council

Very busy. Very good calibre of candidates. Location excellent. Feedback from candidates indicated the seminar room was too small. Nicola Jenkinson, Director, Semester Recruitment
|
Event was well organised, staff very helpful. Excellent facilities. Very informative seminars. Friendly atmosphere. There hasn’t been enough interest in undergraduate and postgrad – may be because it is an exhibition geared towards qualified social workers. It would be helpful if colleges and schools were invited. Rosie Pearsall, Health & Wellbeing Marketing, Sheffield Hallam University

The event has been well organised and attendance levels seem to be higher than previous years. We were well looked after as exhibitors. I would be interested in seeing the final attendance numbers.
Lisa Rigby, Recruitment & Retention Co-ordinator, Wigan Council

The organisation and logistics have been excellent. The delivery of items to the stand worked well. The refreshments have been excellent. The morning was very busy and the afternoon much quieter, although still well attended.
Julie Holt, HR Manager, Warrington Borough Council

Useful having universities – plenty of students, particularly noticeable from Preston, hopefully better. Venue quite central and better compact – seemed busier. The organisation of the event a lot better than previous years. Lynn Billingham, Marketing & Publicity Manager, Sefton Council |
Exhibition very well organised. Staff more than helpful, couldn’t do enough. Equipment had been delivered the previous day and was waiting on the stand when we arrived.
Louise Whalley, Special Projects Officer, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council

Location good – central. Venue – plenty of space. Seminars – need microphones in all rooms (seminar 1 10am could not be heard well). Good quality and quantity of candidates. A great opportunity to meet 3rd year students looking for jobs in the near future. Would attend again if organised by Compass. Donna St Claire, Workforce Development Officer, Cumbria County Council
|
Overall a very successful event and venue, venue was accessible both for exhibitors setting up and, by the number of attendees, by those interested in jobs/recruitment options. Only downside as a provider of a workshop was the noise level from the main room that overcame the pa system with seminar rooms. Compass organisation has been good, contact with Amy was helpful and efficient throughout and backup and arrangements were efficient without being demanding. Jim Fox, Workforce Development Manager, Cheshire County Council

Excellent help and support on arrival at venue. Hospitality thoughout the day very good. Publicity appropriately targeted so we’ve received a good mix of people at various stages of their career. Good venue. Seminars – difficult to hear if facilitators not using speaker/microphone system. Length of day – would prefer 10am-4pm.
Emma Mookerji, Service Development Officer, Halton Borough Council

We’ve had a great day. Lots of varied candidates. Very well organised, friendly staff, helpful. We were recommended by the office to attend Birmingham and Leeds events coming up. Jack Adams, Recruitment Consultant, Sanctuary Personnel

We have not sought staff due to a lack of vacancies. However, it has been a very successful day from a publicity point of view. Very well organised event, a great improvement. Gill Foden, Service Manager – OD, Wirral Council |
Everything went well, no problem logistically. Loads of quality entrants. Friendly staff. Good dinner. Harrison Scott, Trainee Consultant, Liquid Personnel
