The North West leads the way with the annual Social Work Show

The North West Social Work Show will be held on the 4th November 2013 at the Hilton Deansgate, Manchester. This event is for all social workers from Newly Qualified to Senior Practitioners as well as Commissioners and service providers; as the future of the workforce students on social work and related courses are also warmly welcomed.

The world of social work is no longer as clear cut as in the past and this event aims to bring together those who work in the voluntary and private sectors, independent practitioners as well as those working for local authorities. We want to ensure that social workers have an event where they can congregate, network, learn and share as well as look for their next career move.

This event is free for all visitors it gives social workers and their employers the opportunity to access a day of free training, with the event contributing a day's CPD towards ongoing registration requirements. We are pleased to be partnering with employers helping them save money from overstretched training budgets and offering high quality seminars and workshops to the entire workforce.

A free event for qualified social workers to meet and network

Over the past few years the COMPASS events have evolved from being pure Jobs Fairs, facilitating a place for employer and employee to meet, into much more of a sector event offering a window on the profession and a forum where practitioners can consider wider issues. The North West Social Work Show will include debates and sessions to challenge and champion social work practice in the North West and we want to ensure that social workers have an event where they can network, learn and share as well as look for their next career move.
