The Educational Psychology Service for Achieving for Children (serving Kingston and Richmond local authorities) wish to appoint an enthusiastic and creative Educational Psychologist (EP). Whilst we have recently appointed to our permanent team, we are continuing to grow as a service due to successful trading and are therefore seeking a further candidate. We are advertising this post as full-time but we would be happy to hear from qualified EPs who might be considering a part-time position.

We are seeking an EP who is committed to operating within a consultative framework, can demonstrate awareness of how to make an impact in applying psychology to affect change, and who views team work and peer support as key factors in a successful service.

You will be joining an EPS which is highly regarded by schools and other services/organisations across Kingston and Richmond. Our skilled EP team is energetic, friendly and committed to providing a high-quality evidence-based psychological service to children and young people in our communities. You will need to be a qualified Educational Psychologist who is HCPC registered.

We will offer a structured framework of induction and support, including a strong continuing professional development programme, good ICT facilities and accommodation, excellent peer support, outstanding secretarial support and opportunities to pursue individual areas of interest.

Achieving for Children is a community interest company, launched on April 1, 2014. It is jointly owned by Kingston and Richmond Councils to provide children’s services within the two boroughs. This is a first nationally, putting us at the forefront of service re-design. Within AfC our aim is achieve excellence in everything we do by putting children and young people first in the design, delivery and evaluation of every service we provide, to ensure they are supported to live safe, happy, healthy and successful lives.
