Social Worker – Safeguarding Team
Salary: AfC Spinal points 35-38 £32,628 - £35,286 (ASYE-AfC Spinal point 33- £31,170 per annum)  

This is a great opportunity for a Social Worker to join a lively, engaging and outward facing team. This post is being funded through Partner in Practice award, celebrating our innovative work.  

Within the team our Social Workers support children and their families that need care and support and find the best solutions for their situation to preserve the child’s safety within their family and local community.

They complete longer-term work with families in order to meet identified need and improve outcomes and work with children and young people, families, carers and communities to formulate care plans in partnership, based on their assessment of need, enabling them to clarify and express their needs and contribute to their planning.

In addition, we have recently introduced an exciting, bespoke ‘hub model’ funded through our Partner in Practice work. This model encourages social workers, family support workers and systemic family therapists to work in partnership, driving down caseloads and collaborating on cases.    

About you
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent customer care in a child and family centred environment and be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people. We welcome applications from Social Workers that can demonstrate their knowledge of gathering evidence through the use of direct tools to help determine risk to children and which will inform assessments.
