Our plans for the development and improvement of our Children’s Services are ambitious, and rightly so. We have a new, over-arching strategy which will transform the way we work with children, young people and families in Tower Hamlets.

We want to increase the confidence, competence and expertise of our workforce and we believe that good support, relevant training and recognition is key.

Our services have been reorganised to ensure we have a forensic focus on what they can do to support children and young people

It’s not just empty words; we are investing seriously into improving our services. Nearly £5million has been earmarked for this work and with that investment comes the opportunity to change what we do and how we do it. For the better. You will be joining a performance-led culture; with smaller teams, a more structured environment and additional administrative support, leaving you to do what you do best; practising your social work skills where they are needed.

We will make sure that you feel valued and well supported so that you can help us meet our aim to develop outstanding practice underpinned by core social work values.

Our offer to you is an attractive pay and benefits package, significant training and development opportunities and structured management and administrative support so that you can make a difference.
