Due to growth in services, we currently have opportunities for dedicated and resilient Residential Support Workers for our Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB) Homes in Stockport. We are preferably looking for a male driver essentially with Level 3 QCF.

Harmful Sexual Behaviour

Our two homes deliver a specialist residential service for males and females, aged up to 17 years who present with inappropriate or harmful sexual behaviour (HSB). These Ofsted rated Good residential homes offer a therapeutic, nurturing and person-centred environment to our young people, supporting safe social integration and a non-judgemental approach.

The role

We in partnership with other specialists to adopt a holistic approach to children and young people in these homes. Each young person has a tailored care package and risk assessment (this can include intense supervision) of young people to enable them to remain living within the community.

You will work as part of an enthusiastic team providing a safe, caring and accepting environment, with young people who display HSB implementing the strengths based Good Lives Model.

As our ideal candidate, you will have some experience with working within the Good Lives Model supporting young people who display HSB. Experience in a care / support role is essential and we have an excellent training and support programme.

Alongside this also comes with the day to day of supporting a young person in their home; Education, independence, experiences and opportunities, sports and hobbies, care and support.

Hours

The individuals in our care will have a variety of complex needs for which they will need varying levels of support. In order to provide the required support the staff team will work shifts. This includes weekends, evenings, and potentially providing support on the young people’s annual holidays. We have full time roles available. Full flexibility over 7 days is required (40 hours a week). If you are unable to commit to these hours please do not apply, however, make enquiries about our bank staff.
